INTRO
The Naughty Dog's Summer Edition — a seasonal blend built for sunny days and effortless drinking, combining two washed coffees from two iconic producers into a single fruity, refreshing, and playfully sweet cup. The first sip delivers an unexpectedly creamy apricot and strawberry milkshake sweetness, which transitions into fruit candy playfulness before concluding with a clean, refreshing iced tea finish. In the cup: apricot milkshake, strawberry milkshake, fruit candies, and iced tea.
THE COMPONENTS
The blend brings together two distinct washed expressions. From Colombia, a lot from Diego Samuel Bermudez — a producer celebrated for his legendary smoothness, depth, and seemingly endless sweetness. From Ethiopia's Taferi Kela, a characteristically vibrant and florally expressive washed Heirloom lot that contributes the sparkle, freshness, and clean brightness that tie the blend together. Both coffees were harvested at optimal ripeness in autumn 2025.
The shared washed processing method is the common thread — both components stripped back to reveal their intrinsic character, producing the crystal clarity and long, clean aftertaste that define this summer release.
THE PROCESS
Both components are traditionally washed:
🍒 Hand-picking — Cherries harvested at peak ripeness 🔧 Depulping — Outer skin and sticky pulp removed from the beans 💧 Channel washing — Thoroughly washed in water channels to remove all fermentation residue ☀️ Raised-bed drying — Dried on raised African raised beds, absorbing warmth and stabilising moisture content
The thorough washed processing of both components is the defining step — by removing all fruit influence, the process reveals the intrinsic character of each origin with full clarity, producing the crystal clean acidity and long, refreshing iced tea finish that define the blend's summer character.
