INTRO From the Kinini Washing Station in Rulindo, Northern Province — a lot celebrating Rwandan excellence through sustainable, collective farming. THE PRODUCER Kinini Washing Station serves 48 members from Tumba village, 85% of whom are women — a strong commitment to gender equality in the coffee industry, reflected in this lot's trade to 60 women in the Dufatanye Farmer Group. Launched in 2014, Kinini signed lease agreements with local farmers, providing seedlings, training, and organisational support in exchange for cherry delivery commitments. Beyond coffee, the station operates as a broader community development model, reinvesting 10% of profits into local education and healthcare projects.
THE PROCESS This lot is Washed, a method that removes the fruit before fermentation and drying — allowing Bourbon's naturally sweet, structured character to come through clearly, building the crisp acidity and lush fruit notes that define this cup.
