INTRO
A fruit-forward espresso blend from Czech roaster The Naughty Dog — built on contrast and harmony in equal measure. Two naturally processed coffees from opposite ends of the specialty world: a Geisha from Finca El Mirador in Huila, and a characteristically fruited Heirloom natural from the Gotiti processing station in Yirgacheffe. The result is a blend of lively acidity, generous fruit sweetness, and a creamy, confectionary finish. In the cup: fresh strawberries, raspberries, and nougat pralines.
THE COMPONENTS
The Colombian component is a Geisha from Finca El Mirador in Huila — grown between 1,700 and 2,200 MASL with meticulous attention to harvest quality, delivering the elegant structure and vibrant fruit character for which this variety is celebrated. The Ethiopian component comes from the Gotiti processing station in Yirgacheffe, where Heirloom varieties produce the characteristically expressive, aromatic naturals that have made the region synonymous with fruited complexity.
Both coffees share the natural processing method — the common thread that ties the blend together and amplifies the fruit character of each component, building the strawberry and raspberry brightness that defines the cup while the Geisha's refinement tempers everything with elegance.
THE PROCESS
Both components are processed as naturals:
🍒 Hand-picking — Cherries harvested at peak ripeness during the 2025 harvest 🔍 Sorting — Careful cherry selection before drying ☀️ Whole-fruit drying — Cherries dried with pulp intact, allowing fruit sugars and aromatics to be gradually absorbed into the bean 🔄 Regular turning — Turned throughout drying to ensure even fermentation and prevent defects
The whole-fruit drying is the defining step for both components — by leaving the cherry intact throughout, the natural process builds the pronounced fruit sweetness and fuller body that make this blend so expressive as an espresso, while the nougat praline sweetness emerges in the long, creamy finish.
THE CUP
A distinctive and approachable specialty espresso from one of the Czech Republic's most characterful roasters — juicy and fruit-forward, with strawberry and raspberry vibrancy giving way to a sweet, creamy nougat praline finish. Works beautifully with milk.
