ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Produced by the Altieri family in the lush, high-altitude hills of Boquete, this Typica lot—YUYI 1801—is an exquisite representation of the region’s vibrant terroir and Altieri’s continued pursuit of quality and innovation. The family’s farm benefits from volcanic soil, cool mountain air, and dense native shade, creating the ideal environment for slow cherry maturation and complex sugar development.

This particular lot underwent a dry-ferment macerated natural process—a technique where whole cherries are fermented in their own fruit for an extended period, allowing wild yeasts and natural sugars to enhance the coffee’s depth and sweetness. After fermentation, the cherries are carefully dried on raised beds, ensuring even drying and clean flavour articulation.

N THE CUP

A deeply sweet and fruit-forward Typica that radiates elegance and structure. Expect notes of red grape and plum juice, carried by a silky body and molasses-like richness, finishing with a brown sugar sweetness that lingers long after the last sip.

A luxurious and expressive natural, showcasing both the craftsmanship of Altieri Family Estates and the beauty of Boquete’s volcanic terroir.
