THE PRODUCERS

Glitter Trading & Logistics works hand-in-hand with over 250 smallholders in Haro Sorsa, one of Guji’s most fertile and high-altitude growing areas. Here, coffee is shade-grown in rich red clay soil, often intercropped with enset (false banana) to enhance soil health and ensure local food security. The organization supports its farmers with pre-financing, agronomic training, and educational initiatives—creating a model where quality and community grow together.

THE PROCESS

Ripe cherries are hand-selected and dried on raised African beds for 12–15 days, turned frequently to ensure even drying. Once the ideal moisture level is reached, the coffee is rested in warehouses before export, allowing the flavors to stabilize and harmonize. The result is a clean, fruit-saturated cup with impressive structure and depth.

WHY WE LOVE IT

Haro Sorsa coffees have a distinctive duality—lush fruit character meets elegant balance. This lot, crafted with care by Glitter Trading and its network of smallholders, is a shining example of what Guji does best: expressive sweetness, clarity, and a sense of place you can taste in every sip.

Expect notes of Cacao Nibs, Cherry & Blueberries

What is the roast recency?

We recommend brewing with beans that are at least two weeks off roast. All beans are roasted to peak flavour at around 6-10 weeks. We have the option to either purchase standard beans (at least 2 weeks but no longer than 6 weeks off roast), or rested beans (at least 7 weeks off roast, no longer than 10). For peak flavour, if you are looking to use immediately, we recommend purchasing the rested beans. If you are adding to your rotation of beans, we recommend purchasing the standard and allowing the beans to naturally rest and mature whilst you rotate through other beans.
