ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Perched high in the Volcán Barú region of western Panama, Alto Bambito has long been regarded as one of the country’s most respected and consistent producers of high-quality coffee. Under the stewardship of Leslie Arturo Guerra, the farm continues a tradition of precision and care, producing coffees of remarkable purity and balance.

Grown in rich volcanic soils and shaded by native trees, the Typica varietal here benefits from cool nights and warm days that allow cherries to ripen slowly, building complexity and sweetness. Once harvested, the cherries are handpicked, depulped, and washed, then dried on raised beds to preserve their bright, elegant character.

IN THE CUP

This washed Typica is delicate, expressive, and beautifully structured—a showcase of Panama’s high-altitude terroir. The cup opens with honeysuckle and apricot, unfolds into layers of sugarcane sweetness, and finishes with a soothing chamomile tea-like calm.
