IntroThis washed Geisha from Adaura Coffee is a pristine and expressive representation of Boquete terroir. Refined, aromatic, and impeccably clean, it highlights everything we love about high-elevation Panamanian Geisha—clarity, elegance, and lifted citrus florality. This is a coffee that feels timeless and precise, offering beauty in restraint rather than excess.
The ProducerAdaura Coffee was founded in 2018 at Finca Lorayne by Marcus J. Durán, a third-generation producer honouring his grandparents, Adalberto and Aura Rosas, whose values and love for the land continue to shape the farm’s philosophy.
With Edwin Rosas leading daily farm management, Adaura has developed a reputation for exceptional agronomy and careful post-harvest execution. Their dedication was internationally recognized when Adaura claimed 1st place in the 2024 Best of Panama – Washed Geisha category, a defining achievement that firmly established the farm among Panama’s top producers.
The ProcessThis lot was harvested at peak ripeness and processed using a meticulous washed method designed to preserve aromatic clarity. After depulping, the coffee underwent controlled fermentation before being thoroughly washed and slowly dried. This approach emphasizes transparency in the cup, allowing the Gesha variety’s floral and citrus-driven character—along with Boquete’s distinct terroir—to fully express itself.
In the CupThe cup opens with vivid bergamot aromatics, immediately reminiscent of fine Earl Grey tea. As it cools, delicate jasmine florals emerge, layered with bright orange sweetness and a refined pomelo citrus finish. The acidity is crisp yet elegant, the body light and silky, and the finish long, clean, and refreshing.
