05 — HYPER LIMITED
Pablo Guerrero — Washed Gesha
Native's Hyper Limited series continues with a pristine, elegant washed Gesha from one of Colombia’s most respected innovators, Pablo Guerrero of Finca El Obraje. Known for pushing boundaries in Nariño with meticulous agronomy, altitude-driven precision, and an uncompromising commitment to quality, Pablo has earned a reputation for producing some of the cleanest and most expressive Gesha lots in the country.
THE PRODUCER
Pablo Guerrero transformed El Obraje from an abandoned wheat farm into one of Colombia’s most celebrated specialty coffee estates. Situated high in the cool mountains of Nariño, the farm’s extreme elevation, volcanic soil, and temperature swings create ideal conditions for dense, aromatic coffee with extraordinary clarity.
His Gesha trees—in small, carefully managed plots—are nurtured with exacting care to emphasize purity, florality, and balance.
THE PROCESS — WASHED
This lot follows a traditional washed process, executed with precision that highlights the Gesha’s inherent elegance.
Ripe cherries are hand-selected, depulped, and fermented in temperature-stable tanks to preserve delicate aromatics. Slow drying on raised beds ensures a clean, transparent profile where varietal character shines without fermentation influence.
The result is a cup that is bright, soft, and deeply refined.
THE CUP
A beautifully clean Gesha with lifted florals, silky sweetness, and herbal brightness.
Expect sweet vanilla, delicate florals, and a refreshing lemongrass clarity—all carried by a smooth, crystalline structure.

What is the roast recency?
Native recommend brewing with beans that are at least two to three weeks off roast. All beans are roasted to peak flavour at around 6-9 weeks. We have the option to either purchase standard beans (no longer than 6 weeks off roast), or rested beans (at least 7 weeks off roast, no longer than 12 - should we have any left in stock!). For peak flavour, if you are looking to use immediately, we recommend purchasing the rested beans. If you are adding to your rotation of beans, we recommend purchasing the standard and allowing the beans to naturally rest and mature whilst you rotate through other beans.
Filter or Espresso? Both!
All of Native's coffees are profiled to be as fantastic in filter as they are in espresso.
