INTRO From the Oma block within the legendary Gesha Village farm in Bench Maji — a natural-processed expression of the historic Geisha 1931 lineage. Candied lemon sweetness leads, with jasmine florality and a honeyed richness rounding out the cup. In the cup: candied lemon, jasmine, and honey.
THE PRODUCER Gesha Village is owned by Adam Overton and Rachel Samuel, who selected the farm's location against strict standards — altitude, rainfall, temperature, fertile virgin forest soil, mature native trees, and an intact coffee ecosystem near the Gori Gesha Forest in remote western Ethiopia. This lot comes from the Oma block, one of several distinct plots across the farm growing the historic Geisha 1931 variety.
THE PROCESS This lot is a Natural — cherries are dried whole, allowing the fruit to impart its character directly into the bean. This approach is what builds the candied lemon sweetness and honeyed richness that define this cup, while preserving Geisha 1931's naturally jasmine-forward florality.
THE CUP Sweet and aromatic — candied lemon leads, jasmine florality carries throughout, and a honeyed sweetness rounds out the finish. A high-sweetness, moderate-acidity expression true to the historic Geisha 1931 lineage.
