Say hello to Weber's first coffee brewer: The BIRD™.

Its unique design stands apart from espresso, French Press, or pour-over to create something all its own: a rich and complex coffee brewed in a sleek, innovative machine with minimal fuss. Short for Brew In Reverse Direction, the BIRD is the first non-bypass brewer to create piston-driven vacuum brews in a glass device. The BIRD is an entirely new platform for baristas and coffee aficionados to explore uncharted territories in brewing, both in homes and in cafés alike.

The Mechanism behind The BIRD™

Whilst looking like a traditional French Press, The BIRD is anything but. Firstly immersion takes place, then an optional level of agitation can be imparted to the brew by a satisfying Wingnut mechanism to spin paddles in the brew chamber. In the next stage, the entire brew is pulled up and at the same time creating a vacuum space below the filter. The brewed liquid is lastly forced and percolated through the coffee bed and filter to result in the final brew, with zero bypass.

Included with The BIRD are a multitude of accessories to compliment your experience. From a solid anodised aluminium filter paper dock, to a silicone pad to rest your 'Gizmo' after brewing for easy clean up, to 300 paper filters and a reusable mesh filter.
