Timemore have developed their flagship grinder. An approach centred on removing the barriers of mass production, focussing purely on creating the best grinder possible with the tools they have, gave way to the development and release of The M01.

Putting heads together, Timemore understood there was a sudden shift in the interest of flat burrs. What M01 achieves, is the flat burr profile within a conical burr.

They call it “elongating the grind path”.

The M01 houses an all new design of conical burr, stretching to 44mm in diameter but also standing 30mm tall.

This burr set is not just designed to look like a pineapple, in fact the burr shape emerges from the goal to innovate outside of the box. Most new designs increase the size of a burr, or slightly change the pre-cutters. The industry got stale. Until now.

M01’s Pinapple burr is innovative step in the conical world which elongates the ‘grind path’, similar to how a flat burr works, but packaged in a conical shape. If you took a flat burr and pulled it up into the third dimension, you get the beginning of what the Pineapple burr is trying to achieve.

After iterative design work, the result is this unusual shape which has the efficiency of a conical, but the grind quality aligned with flat burrs. Welcome to the new age of conicals.
