The Buck is a precision-engineered naked portafilter, meticulously crafted from a solid block of forged, machined, and polished stainless steel. Its thoughtful design allows it to rest flat on any countertop, eliminating the hassle of balancing it off the edge while tamping, as is common with traditional portafilters. Both the FKM Rubber and Solid Teak handles feature a robust stainless steel core, ensuring durability, weight, and strength built to last a lifetime.

The Motivation behind BUCK

Traditional portafilters with baskets fashioned from stamped metal suffer from one thing; flex. When the basket flexes under pressure from your machine, the flow distribution focusses on the centre of the puck, creating an uneven extraction where the centre of the puck is over-extracted, and the outside of the puck left under-extracted. 

With BUCK, together with Weber's Unibasket™, this is almost entirely eliminated. The Unibasket™ is forged from a single blank of solid stainless steel, 1.2mm thick.

Whilst BUCK can be used with traditional baskets, it is recommended to pair with Unibasket™ for the ultimate extraction uplift.

IMPORTANT - Compatibility

Before Purchasing please check compatibility:

BUCK itself will fit 

• Standard E61 exposed groups such as La Marzocco, Slayer, Synesso, Kees VanDer Westen, Decent, Flair 58
• Victoria Arduino & La Marzocco Micra/Mini will fit, however, the BUCK will lock and seal right of centre and may interfere with the steam wand if steaming at the same time as the portafilter is locked in

BUCK specifically does NOT fit:

• Any proprietary non-E61 group fittings such as Sage/Breville, Gaggia Classic Pro or similar

Unibasket™ Compatibility

Unibasket™ is optimised for use with the BUCK, however can be used with most other standard portafilters. Linea and Rocket standard portafilters can accept the Unibasket, however, the flow may catch on the bottom of the portafilter lip. It is declared here that if you have a Linea or Rocket machine, you accept this potential flaw.

Unibasket™ specifically does NOT fit portafilters by:

• ECM, Slayer, Gaggia, Rancillio, Sage/Breville, La Marzocco Linea Mini/Micro or KNODOS
