Alo Coffee was founded in 2020 by Tamiru Tadesse with a mission to produce and export high-quality coffees from Bensa, Sidama. Inspired by a friend’s Cup of Excellence win, Tamiru established the Alo washing station in Bona Zuria, sourcing cherries from high-elevation farms that were previously unsuitable for coffee cultivation due to climate challenges. This lot showcases the dedication of local outgrowers and the region’s potential for exceptional specialty coffee.
In the Cup
This Red Honey-processed coffee offers a vibrant and layered cup. Expect juicy apricot sweetness, rich plum notes, and a subtle fig complexity. The body is smooth and syrupy, balanced with gentle acidity, creating a harmonious and memorable tasting experience.
