It matters so much that April developed a custom Water Mineral Blend to support the journey of reclaiming coffee flavour. The goal? Brewing water that highlights the unique terroirs and varieties represented by April’s partner producers—perfectly matched to April’s roasting style and brewing equipment.
There are two main ways April recommends using the minerals. Both methods begin with a solid one-minute shake of the bottle. After that, either dose 1g of minerals per 1L of brewing water, or simply add 1–2 drops directly into a brewed cup of coffee.
For the best results, April suggests using low ppm water (10–30 ppm) as the base. Each bottle yields around 100–200 cups, depending on brew volume.
This product is developed specifically for April, in collaboration with Apax Lab. April does not recommend using these minerals in an espresso machine—but you can add a few drops to the finished espresso for a flavour boost.
