About This Coffee
If you’re seeking an irresistibly sweet and complex cup, this washed Kenya from the Kii Washing Station will captivate you. Produced under the Rung’eto Farmers Cooperative Society, established in 1997, this coffee showcases the hallmark vibrancy and precision of Kenya’s finest lots.
Grown on the fertile volcanic slopes at 1,800 MASL, the cherries benefit from cool mountain air, rich soils, and consistent rainfall, developing into dense, flavour-packed beans. The washed process is meticulously executed: after careful handpicking, the cherries are pulped and fermented in controlled tanks, then washed with clean river water and dried slowly on raised beds to preserve clarity and nuance.
The result is a bright, juicy, and wonderfully balanced coffee, where lemon candy sweetness meets forest fruit juiciness, all carried by the refined finish of black tea. A shining example of the elegance and complexity that make Kenyan coffees so beloved.
