About the Coffee

Gesha Village Oma 056 Natural is a refined Ethiopian Gesha, showcasing the care, precision, and remarkable terroir of Gesha Village. This lot comes from the same plot and process as Oma 054 but was harvested slightly later in the season, revealing subtle differences in the cup.

The coffee opens with juicy apricot, layered with delicate orange blossom and tangerine notes. A smooth, oolong-tea-like texture carries subtle vegetal hints, while the finish highlights crisp berries. Complex yet harmonious, it’s a distinctive expression of Gesha Village’s singular character.

In the Cup

This natural Gesha exemplifies the elegance and precision of Gesha Village.

From the first sip, apricot, orange blossom, and tangerine unfold, evolving into subtle oolong tea notes. Silky and layered, the cup finishes with crisp berries, offering a balanced, expressive, and unforgettable Ethiopian Gesha experience.

We recommend brewing with beans that are at least two weeks off roast. All beans are roasted to peak flavour at around 8-12 weeks. We have the option to either purchase standard beans (at least 2 weeks but no longer than 6 weeks off roast), or rested beans (at least 7 weeks off roast, no longer than 12). For peak flavour, if you are looking to use immediately, we recommend purchasing the rested beans. If you are adding to your rotation of beans, we recommend purchasing the standard and allowing the beans to naturally rest and mature whilst you rotate through other beans.
