Description
Purple Rain
From the highlands of Halo Barite village in Gedeb, Purple Rain marks our first release from the Halo washing station — and what an entrance it makes. This anaerobic natural Ethiopian bursts with expressive fruit character, vibrant florals, and a silky sweetness that feels both playful and polished.
In the cup, it’s a kaleidoscope of purple candies, lilac florals, and tropical fruit, bringing together everything we love about modern Ethiopian naturals: expressive aromatics, balanced acidity, and clean, juicy structure.

In the Cup
A vibrant and fruit-forward cup that captures the joy of Ethiopian coffee at its best. It’s sweet, aromatic, and bursting with purple energy, yet elegantly balanced — the perfect harmony of fun and finesse.
We recommend brewing with beans that are at least two weeks off roast. All beans are roasted to peak flavour at around 8-12 weeks. We have the option to either purchase standard beans (at least 2 weeks but no longer than 6 weeks off roast), or rested beans (at least 7 weeks off roast, no longer than 12). For peak flavour, if you are looking to use immediately, we recommend purchasing the rested beans. If you are adding to your rotation of beans, we recommend purchasing the standard and allowing the beans to naturally rest and mature whilst you rotate through other beans.
