ABOUT THIS COFFEE
The Traditional was created to celebrate every end of the roast spectrum - from the lightest and brightest to the darkest and most comforting. This coffee represents our darkest offering at B&W, crafted for those who appreciate depth, warmth, and a classic cup that still honours its origin.
Sourced ethically and roasted with precision, this coffee preserves the integrity of its Colombian roots while embracing the rich, developed flavours that come with a darker roast. Achieving this balance - maintaining origin clarity while revealing roast-driven sweetness - is no easy task, but we believe The Traditional does it beautifully.
If you usually reach for a dark roast at the grocery store, we invite you to experience our take on that familiar comfort - a cup that’s both approachable and elevated.
TASTES LIKE
🍫 Dark Chocolate — smooth, velvety, and grounding.
🍒 Cherry — adding a gentle brightness and depth.
🌰 Marzipan — a nutty, sweet finish that rounds out the profile.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Because good coffee should be for everyone. Whether you’re new to specialty or a seasoned taster, The Traditional is a reminder that dark doesn’t mean dull.
What is the roast recency?
We recommend brewing with beans that are at least two weeks off roast. All beans are roasted to peak flavour at around 6-12 weeks. We have the option to either purchase standard beans (at least 2 weeks but no longer than 6 weeks off roast), or rested beans (at least 7 weeks off roast, no longer than 12 - should we have any left in stock!). For peak flavour, if you are looking to use immediately, we recommend purchasing the rested beans. If you are adding to your rotation of beans, we recommend purchasing the standard and allowing the beans to naturally rest and mature whilst you rotate through other beans.
