INTRO From the heights of Guji, where Tamiru Tadesse grows the 74158 variety above 2,000 masl. Washed processing gives a clean, floral cup — white flowers giving way to peach, before a bright grapefruit finish. In the cup: white flowers, grapefruit, and peach.

THE PRODUCER Tamiru founded ALO Coffee with his wife Messi, inspired by Ethiopia's first Cup of Excellence in 2020 and driven by years of witnessing unfair pricing faced by local farmers. Just a year after launching, their coffee from hometown Alo Village won the national Cup of Excellence championship — cementing the couple's commitment to producing world-class specialty coffee from across the Sidama and Guji growing areas.

THE PROCESS This lot is Washed, a method that removes the fruit before fermentation and drying — letting the 74158 variety's naturally clean, floral character come through, building the white floral and grapefruit brightness that define this cup.

THE CUP Clean and floral — white flowers open the cup, giving way to peach sweetness, before a bright, vivid grapefruit finish. High acidity and a delicate body round out this washed Guji.
