INTRO
A breathtaking washed Gesha from one of Colombia's most extreme altitudes. At 2,780 MASL in Nariño, Emerson Felipe Narváez's Finca El Turpial produces a cup of extraordinary clarity — hibiscus and lime up front, nectarine sweetness threading through, with the floral precision that only Gesha at altitude can deliver.
THE PRODUCER
Emerson Felipe Narváez farms Finca El Turpial entirely by himself in the remote highlands of Nariño — a region marked by extreme elevation and, for many years, armed conflict that left him without a team. Undeterred, he single-handedly cultivated rare varietals including Gesha and SL28, a decision that paid off when his SL28 lot set a record for the highest auction price at the La Mejor Taza de Mi Nariño Internacional in 2023. His Gesha, grown at nearly 2,800 MASL, is a testament to what solitary dedication and exceptional terroir can produce.
THE PROCESS
Washed, allowing the extraordinary clarity and precision of this high-altitude Gesha to come through completely unobscured.
THE CUP
Electrifyingly precise — hibiscus florality, bright lime acidity, and soft nectarine sweetness in a cup that feels genuinely world-class. One of the most compelling washed Geshas we've come across.
