INTRO
Another gem from the Embu region, nestled near the majestic slopes of Mt. Kenya — an extraordinary harvest year for the terroir, celebrated alongside a Kianyangi lot from the very same region. This lot shows remarkable brightness for an Embu coffee, with a subtle distinction from classic Nyeri acidity — vibrant and pleasantly acidic, yet incredibly juicy and profoundly sweet. In the cup: mango, Ume plums, and tamarind.

This lot comes from the Ngurueri Factory, run by the Murue Cooperative in Embu, Kenya, near the slopes of Mt. Kenya.

THE PROCESS
This lot is Washed, a method that removes the fruit before fermentation and drying — allowing the varietal mix's naturally bright, juicy character to come through with clarity, building the mango sweetness and tart tamarind depth that define this cup.

Dynamic and bursting — vibrant mango sweetness leads, with elegant Ume (Japanese plum) notes and a deep, complex tamarind sweetness. It evokes the rich, tart character of tamarind and Ume plums, with the signature Embu terroir shining through a pleasantly spicy, tropical finish.
