Intro

This Oma Lot Gesha from Magma Plantations is a pristine expression of Panama’s modern coffee craftsmanship. Focused, elegant, and exceptionally clean, it highlights the natural beauty of Gesha through precision farming and carefully controlled processing. Every element of this coffee is designed to let varietal character shine with clarity and grace.

The Producer

Dinesh Kumar, the driving force behind Magma Plantations, is known for a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to coffee production. By pairing Panama’s volcanic soils and high-altitude climate with advanced processing strategies, Magma consistently delivers coffees that are refined, expressive, and competition-ready. Each lot is treated as its own project, ensuring consistency and a clear sense of place.

The Process

This coffee undergoes a cold fermentation washed process, where lower fermentation temperatures slow microbial activity and is said to preserve delicate aromatics. After fermentation, the coffee is fully washed. The result is a cup that emphasises tea-like body, floral lift, and structured sweetness with very little fermentation character. The archetypal clean cup.

In the Cup

The cup opens with graceful jasmine florals, immediately setting a refined tone. Juicy peach and bright fresh orange juice follow, bringing a lively yet balanced acidity. As the coffee cools, a soft blossom honey sweetness coats the palate, adding roundness and depth. The mouthfeel is silky, the acidity polished, and the finish, clean, and gently floral.
