Finca La Palestina 'Gesha Inca' #5485 highlights the innovative spirit of the Alarcón family, delivering an evocative and distinct character that blends traditional Peruvian heritage with distinguished terroir. In the cup: blackcurrant, jasmine, and orange.
THE PRODUCER
Finca La Palestina is a renowned name in South American specialty coffee, developed by the Alarcón Coronel family over more than 70 years, focused on consistently exceptional quality. Situated in the San José del Alto district of Cajamarca, the farm spans 3 hectares in the northwest of Jaén Province — coffee cultivation area that was once lush meadows, positioned at elevations from 1,700 to 1,900 metres, ideal for high-quality coffee varieties.
THE PROCESS
This lot is Washed, a method that removes the fruit before fermentation and drying — allowing the variety's naturally complex, fruit-forward character to come through, building the blackcurrant and jasmine notes that define this cup.
THE CUP
Complex and evocative — blackcurrant depth leads, with jasmine florality and an orange brightness rounding out the finish. A distinct expression blending traditional Peruvian heritage with the Alarcón family's dedicated terroir.
