ORIGAMI was founded in 2014, during the rise of third-wave coffee, to make professional brewing equipment designed with and for baristas. Around 90% of its range is made in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, which has been the centre of Japan's Mino ware ceramics tradition for centuries. There, generations of craftsmanship are combined with modern manufacturing to produce consistent, reliable quality. The brand's slogan, "with BARISTA!", reflects its close work with coffee professionals, and its gear is now used by competition baristas and home brewers worldwide.
