KRUVE EQ takes the audio equalizer idea and applies it to glassware: two different glass shapes, each engineered to shift how a given coffee reads on the palate, so you're tuning the sensory experience rather than just choosing a nice-looking cup. Sold as a set — one EXCITE, one INSPIRE — each glass insulated, hand-blown borosilicate, and holding 5oz (150ml).

The two shapes

• EXCITE — bulbous shape with a large liquid surface area. Traps and circulates aroma while softening acidity and enhancing sweetness. Tends to suit full-bodied, chocolatey, nutty or darker roasts.
• INSPIRE — narrower inner shape with a smaller liquid surface area. Focuses and funnels aroma while enhancing acidity. Tends to suit fruity, citrusy or lighter roasts.

Both are double-to-single wall construction for insulation and improved mouthfeel — the coffee stays warm, the glass stays cool to hold. Dishwasher safe, though as with KRUVE's other double-wall glassware, the vacuum seal at the base is the long-term wear point (see note below).

These insulated glasses use a vacuum seal at the base rather than a simple double wall, and that seal is the main long-term wear point — a number of long-term owners report it eventually lets water in after a year or more of dishwasher use, and KRUVE has a strong track record of replacing affected glasses, including well past warranty in some cases.
