INTRO Decaf Divino comes from five long-time producer partners within the Divino Niño community in Suaza, Huila — well balanced and approachable from the start, with a full-bodied feel. Rich milk chocolate and praline sweetness meet a weighted, buttery almond creaminess. In the cup: milk chocolate, praline, and almond.

THE PRODUCER This lot comes from five producers within the Divino Niño community in Suaza, Colombia — long-time partners known for careful farming practices. This particular decaf lot is distinguished by its higher-quality cherry production, a step up from typical decaf sourcing.

THE PROCESS Decaf Divino is decaffeinated at the Descafecol plant in Manizales, using ethyl acetate derived from fermented Colombian sugarcane — a notably gentler method than the more common water process, preserving more of the seed's structure and flavour. Having the decaffeination done locally also supports further investment in Colombian producers and processors.

The sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate process is the defining step — its gentleness is what keeps the milk chocolate, praline, and almond character so well preserved and nuanced, despite the coffee being decaffeinated.

THE CUP Full-bodied and balanced — rich milk chocolate and pillowy brown sugar-like sweetness up front, with a weighted, buttery almond creaminess through the finish. A sweet, nuanced representation of the cultivars involved, and a genuine pleasure as espresso.
