All-purpose electric grinding
One grinder. Every coffee routine.
Espresso through to cold brew
One grind range covers espresso, pour-over, drip, AeroPress, French press and cold brew. Built-in guidance on the lid helps you find a starting point for each method.
48 mm conical burrs
Stainless steel conical burrs are designed for efficient, even grinding. Opus 2 steps up from the original Opus's 40 mm burrs to a larger 48 mm set.
Stepless control at your fingertips
The smooth side dial lets you make fine espresso adjustments and move to coarser filter settings. Clear markings help you return to a starting point.
Lower retention, cleaner grinding
An internal impeller helps grounds move through the grinder. The integrated ionizer reduces static buildup and helps limit grounds clinging to the grinder and countertop.
Two cups for two workflows
Use the standard catch cup for brewed coffee or the dedicated espresso cup for portafilter transfer. The espresso dosing cup fits 54 mm and 58 mm portafilters.
A simpler daily routine
Automatic shutoff removes the need to time the grind manually. Tool-free burr access and an included magnetic cleaning brush make regular maintenance easier.

Getting started
Weigh a single dose
Weigh the beans for your recipe and load the single-dose bin. Stay within its 100 g capacity and use the catch cup appropriate to your dose.
Start with the lid guide
Use the grind guidance as a starting point, then fine-tune to suit your beans and brewer. For espresso, Fellow suggests starting around 0–2; basket type and coffee can change that.
Keep the burrs clean
Follow the supplied guide and safety manual. Tool-free burr access and the magnetic brush help you maintain the grinder between coffees.
Your questions, answered
Can Opus 2 grind for espresso and filter coffee?
Yes. It covers espresso, pour-over, drip, AeroPress, French press and cold brew. The stepless side dial lets you fine-tune the grind across that range.
What changed from the original Opus?
Opus 2 has larger 48 mm conical burrs instead of 40 mm, a stepless side dial, an upgraded anti-static ionizer and two dedicated catch cups. Fellow also reports faster grinding and reduced retention.
Is the adjustment stepless?
Yes. The side dial is stepless: the marked grind guidance helps you choose a starting point, while the dial allows finer adjustments between markings.
Will the espresso cup fit my portafilter?
The included espresso dosing cup is designed for 54 mm and 58 mm portafilters. Do not assume it fits another diameter; check your portafilter specification.
How much coffee can I grind at once?
The single-dose load bin and standard catch cup each hold up to 100 g. The espresso catch cup holds up to 30 g. Choose the cup to suit your dose.
Should I choose Opus 2 or Ode Gen 2?
Choose Opus 2 if you want espresso as well as filter coffee. Ode Gen 2 is designed for filter brewing and uses 64 mm flat burrs; it does not grind for espresso. The right choice depends on your brewing methods.
Does anti-static mean no mess or zero retention?
No grinder can promise that in every situation. Opus 2's ionizer helps reduce static, and its internal impeller helps reduce retained grounds. Results vary with the coffee and conditions.
How do I clean it?
Use the included brush and follow the supplied safety manual. Burr access is tool-free. Follow Fellow's instructions for disassembly and keep electrical components away from water.
