DAK Coffee Roasters is excited to present Jiggly Berry, a bold and expressive filter coffee from Costa Rica’s lush Chirripó region. Sourced from Finca El Salitre and processed as an anaerobic natural, this microlot is a celebration of intense fruit character and juicy complexity — delivering a vibrant, syrupy cup with expressive sweetness.  

The Producer:

This coffee comes from Finca El Salitre, a producer in the scenic highlands of Costa Rica’s Chirripó region. Known for its commitment to quality, the farm cultivates Mileno F1, a hybrid varietal prized for both its resilience and flavour potential. DAK’s continued partnership with this origin reflects their focus on coffees with distinctive profiles and full traceability, ensuring every lot tells a story from farm to cup. 

The Process:

Jiggly Berry is processed using a fully anaerobic natural method, where whole cherries are rested in airtight conditions to kick‑start fermentation before drying naturally under the sun. This controlled anaerobic phase enhances fruit sweetness and complexity, resulting in a juicy, bold, and structured profile that stands out in filter brews. 

The Cup:

In the cup, this coffee offers an intense fruit‑forward experience. Expect bright sweet cherries 🍒 and lush purple grapes 🍇 at the forefront, supported by lingering liquorice 🍬 notes that add depth and intrigue. The mouthfeel is rich and syrupy, while a sparkling acidity brings freshness and lift.
