MEET THE PRODUCER
Black & White’s connection to the Gamatui Community runs deep, thanks to a long-standing partnership with Atlantic Specialty Coffee and Kawacom. For more than five years, we’ve had the privilege of sourcing coffees from this vibrant community in Uganda’s Sipi Falls region.
Here, local farmers deliver freshly harvested cherries to Sipi Falls for centralized washing, drying, and milling. This approach not only streamlines labor for producers but also elevates quality and value—ensuring better outcomes for the farmers behind every lot.
TRUST THE PROCESS
This selection comes from the Gamatui lineup and follows a traditional washed process—clean, precise, and designed to let the terroir shine.
TAKE A SIP
Sweet, balanced, and endlessly approachable, this coffee is pure comfort in the cup. Think apple pie warmth, layered with milk chocolate smoothness and a maple-like sweetness. It’s versatile enough to please any crowd—equally enjoyable as a single-origin filter or as a key component in blends like The Classic.
Unfussy. Reliable. Delicious.
Tasting Notes: Apple Pie, Maple Syrup, Milk Chocolate

What is the roast recency?
We recommend brewing with beans that are at least two weeks off roast. All beans are roasted to peak flavour at around 6-12 weeks. We have the option to either purchase standard beans (at least 2 weeks but no longer than 6 weeks off roast), or rested beans (at least 7 weeks off roast, no longer than 12 - should we have any left in stock!). For peak flavour, if you are looking to use immediately, we recommend purchasing the rested beans. If you are adding to your rotation of beans, we recommend purchasing the standard and allowing the beans to naturally rest and mature whilst you rotate through other beans.
