INTRO
Grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda, this coffee from Isaac Obua sits in one of the country's most interesting coffee regions. Mount Elgon is an ancient extinct volcano forming a vast massif on the border between Uganda and Kenya, its slopes offering a particularly fertile environment for Arabica. Caramel, milk chocolate, and orange build a dense, comforting profile — a resolutely indulgent cup. In the cup: caramel, milk chocolate, and orange.

THE PRODUCER
Isaac Obua's lot brings together three emblematic varieties of the region: Nyasaland, SL14, and SL28 — a trio representative of Elgon's coffee genetic heritage.

THE PROCESS
The choice of a washed process here reinforces the cup's readability, emphasising clarity and aromatic structure.

Washed processing across this three-variety blend is the defining step — it's what builds the dense, structured caramel and milk chocolate character that define this cup, with the orange acidity coming through soft and clear rather than sharp.

THE CUP
Dense and comforting — a brown, caramel-like sweetness pairs with a soft, orange-noted acidity, while milk chocolate brings balance without overpowering the coffee. A resolutely indulgent cup worth discovering.
