Building on Onyx’s decades-long expertise in sourcing and roasting world-class coffees, this product brings the depth, nuance, and character of specialty coffee into a ready-to-brew instant format that dissolves quickly in hot water or milk with no compromise on quality or complexity.

Inspired by a playful holiday tale — where Krampus scorched Onyx’s prized Kenyan peaberries — what remains is surprisingly delicious and compelling, boasting layers of deep chocolate, burnt citrus, and warm spice in every cup.

THE PRODUCER — Rungeto Factory Peaberries from Kenya

This coffee begins its journey at the Rungeto Factory in Kenya’s Kii Cooperative, known for producing standout peaberry lots. Peaberries — naturally occurring single, round beans found in roughly 10% of coffee cherries — are prized for their concentrated sweetness and density, which translate into intense flavour in both traditional roast and instant preparations.

Onyx’s long-standing sourcing relationships in Kenya allow them to select peak peaberry outturns from this cooperative, ensuring that even an instant coffee retains traceable origin and specialty pedigree.

THE PROCESS — From Bean to Instant Brilliance

Instant Krampus is crafted from a dark roast of Kenyan peaberries, processed and roasted with the same care Onyx applies to its whole-bean offerings. The beans are:

⚗️ Converted to soluble through precise preparation and drying so each sachet dissolves cleanly
