INTRO

Condor Ridge Ranch is the farm at the genesis of California-grown coffee. Originally known as Good Land Organics, it sits in the hills above the rugged Gaviota coast — a microclimate that consistently yields FRINJ's highest-scoring and most in-demand coffees. In January 2026 a Washed Gesha from this farm became the first California coffee to compete at the prestigious Dubai Coffee Auction, opening at $250 per kilo alongside lots from Hacienda La Esmeralda, Inmaculada, and Gesha Village.

This traditionally Washed Gesha is a refined expression of California terroir — clean florals, vibrant acidity, and the elegant complexity that has established Condor Ridge as one of the most exciting new origins in specialty coffee.

THE PRODUCER

FRINJ Coffee is a pioneering seed-to-cup company producing terroir-driven coffees from California. Founded in 2017 by Jay Ruskey, Andy Mullins, Juan Medrano, and Lindsey Mesta, FRINJ works with a network of farms from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. Condor Ridge Ranch — planted in 2002 — is the oldest coffee farm in California. California farmers in the FRINJ network receive over half the sales value — compared to just 2–5% globally.

THE PROCESS

The Washed process at Condor Ridge Ranch involves:

• 🍒 Selective Hand-Picking — Cherries harvested at peak ripeness
• ✅ Flotation & Sorting — Floated to remove defects
• 💧 Washing — Pulped and washed to remove all fruit material
• ☀️ Raised Bed Drying — Dried slowly on raised beds until moisture stable
• 🔧 Milling & Grading — Milled, classified, and sorted to SCA green grading standards

The traditional washed process preserves the Gesha's intrinsic floral and fruit character with exceptional clarity.
