INTRO Grown by the Lizaraso family on plots of up to four hectares in Otocani, Cusco — a sweet, balanced Typica farmed without agrochemicals or burning, following practices passed down through generations. Milk chocolate and hazelnut sweetness sit alongside a raisin-like depth. In the cup: milk chocolate, raisin, and hazelnut.
THE PRODUCER The Lizaraso family farms in the Otocani region of Cusco, working plots of up to four hectares using generational, chemical-free farming practices. The price paid for this lot — $9.48 USD/kg — reflects the quality of the coffee produced.
THE PROCESS This lot is Washed, a method that removes the fruit before fermentation and drying — allowing Typica's naturally balanced character to come through clearly, building the milk chocolate, raisin, and hazelnut notes that define this cup.
THE CUP Sweet and balanced — milk chocolate and hazelnut sweetness up front, with a raisin-like depth running throughout. A clean, generational expression of Typica from Cusco.
