About Black & White Roasters
Black and White Coffee Roasters is the brainchild of two US Barista Champions. Founded in 2017, Kyle and Lem were inspired by the coffee they experienced at the competitive level and wanted to make those coffees as widely available as possible.

INTRO
A year-round blend that refuses to pick a side: clean, vibrant, and approachable on one end, funky co-ferments on the other. It embraces innovation in fermentation and processing while honouring classic, storied flavour profiles. Expect something fruit-forward and dynamic, yet clean and approachable. In the cup: sweet watermelon, peach, dark honey, and black tea.
THE PRODUCER
The blend changes seasonally but is always predominantly a washed Ethiopian coffee, with the minority share reserved for co-ferments. This season's washed component (80%) comes from smallholders in the Aricha community, and the co-ferment (20%) from Sebastian Ramirez in Colombia. The idea began with an impossible choice: the classic end of coffee (Panamanian Gesha, washed Ethiopian lots, breakfast blends) or the funky end (anaerobic naturals, advanced processing experiments, co-ferments). Rather than choose, they built a blend that shows both.
THE PROCESS
The blend combines a washed Ethiopian lot with a Colombian co-ferment.
Pairing a washed Ethiopian base with a small proportion of co-ferment is the defining structure. It's what keeps the cup balanced and striking, traditional and innovative, with the washed lot's clean peach and black tea carrying the co-ferment's watermelon and dark honey sweetness.
THE CUP
Sweet and stone-fruited, clean yet dynamic: sweet watermelon and peach lead, with black tea sweetened by dark honey. Balanced, approachable, and a little bit striking.
