INTRO The long-awaited 2026 harvest of Los Pinos Washed Geisha has finally arrived. Finca Los Pinos — "Pine Sanctuary Estate" — has long been a favourite, previously featured with its 3rd Place Cup of Excellence auction lot in 2024, leaving a lasting impression of remarkable terroir. This lot's defining quality is how closely it resembles a classic Panamanian Washed Geisha: elegant white jasmine on the dry fragrance, vibrant red berries and apricot while hot, and lively citrus emerging as it cools. In the cup: jasmine, apricot, citrus, and red berries.

THE PRODUCER Finca Los Pinos is farmed by Joaquina Montoya in Pozo Negro, Masaguara, in Honduras's Intibucá region, at 1,770 masl.

THE PROCESS Cherries undergo a 48-hour whole-cherry fermentation, followed by a 32-hour wet fermentation after depulping, and 25 days of sun drying.

The double fermentation — 48 hours in cherry, then 32 hours wet — is the defining step. It's what builds the layered progression from jasmine and red berries through to citrus, giving this cup its Panamanian-Geisha-like character.

THE CUP Elegant and evolving — white jasmine florals open the dry fragrance, red berries and apricot lead while hot, and lively citrus emerges as it cools, with the florals becoming even more expressive. Even at room temperature, a lingering ripe apricot sweetness carries through to a clear, elegant finish.
