Most producers in the blend manage very small plots and deliver tiny amounts of coffee. Diana Quinayas, for example, contributed only 32 kg of parchment to this lot, far less than a full exportable bag, which would be too costly and time-consuming to mill and export alone. Rejecting it on size would push the smallholder to sell it to a larger buyer, likely at a lower price, to be blended anonymously into large regional lots with little traceability.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLos Magníficos aims to open opportunities and give smallholders steady ground to build from as they improve their post-harvest practices.
