This coffee marks our second lot from the incredible producer Jhenrri Chavez, whose coffees continue to stand out for their clarity, character, and precision.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTHE PRODUCER\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChavez Estate is a family run operation that grows multiple varietals and has participated in the Peru Cup of Excellence twice. Ricardo and Virginia oversee all operations on the estate alongside their children, Raquel, Jhenrri, and Richard. Jhenrri is in charge of quality control and agricultural innovation, which he learned whilst working with the Inkawasi Cooperative.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTogether, the Chavez family manages several interconnected plots of land, with a total of four SL9 lots produced from the estate. A creamy tropical quality gives the coffee impressive body and texture without overwhelming its clarity. Whilst it carries a bit more expressiveness than many washed SL9s tasted, everything feels remarkably balanced and integrated.
