With the help of renowned coffee researcher Willem Boot, they established a nursery that would soon grow some of the best Ethiopian coffee available in the world. The farm sits over 2,000 masl, among the highest-altitude farms on the continent, and is divided into eight sub-farms, each with its own microclimate and resulting cup profile. Most production consists of Gori Gesha and Gesha 1931, with smaller lots dedicated to research varieties. The team has dedicated significant resources to reforestation and agroforestry, uses water and raw materials sparingly with full recycling on-farm, founded Gesha Village High School in 2021, and runs a beekeeping programme to further uplift the surrounding ecosystem.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTHE PROCESS\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGesha Village takes a classic approach to natural processing, drying the coffee on raised beds in cherry with frequent agitation to ensure even drying.
