He spent five of those years working abroad in Saudi Arabia, returned to Ethiopia in the late 2000s, and launched his first export venture in 2011. Today he oversees several operations throughout Jimma, built within a framework of ethical farming and social welfare. His farms and collection sites hold certifications not often found in the region, including Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and C.A.F.E. Practices, and he has implemented worker welfare programmes and regularly invests in rural infrastructure around Limu Kossa. He is a tireless advocate for coffee quality, social equity, and environmental stewardship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTHE PROCESS\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAfter being handpicked at peak ripeness, the cherries are pulped and the parchment is fermented in water overnight.
