Esayas Beriso began his career in a government office in Dimtu, where he and his brothers started a small side operation collecting and selling farmers' cherry to local wet mills. As the operation grew, Esayas planted his own trees, and in 2009 left his government position to become a full-time coffee business owner. Today it's a family operation, with his wife Meskerem managing harvesting on their personal farm and buying cherry from neighbouring farms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEthiopian Landrace refers to the country's vast pool of indigenous varieties — DNA testing has confirmed over 60 distinct types, giving Ethiopia the most coffee biodiversity of any producing country.
