Over time he evolved from transporter to key collector, supplying coffee to central markets and honing his expertise along the way. As climate shifts and agricultural support reshaped Bursa, coffee was introduced to the region, creating new opportunities for local farmers. In 2021, Mullugeta returned to his roots, establishing Dawencho — quickly winning 2nd place in the Cup of Excellence for the Dawencho farmer group and 6th place under his own name.
